Greetings!

I am Donterrio Anderson, a local playwright in Monroe, Louisiana.
On October 11th, 2014, I presented my first stage play, “Why Do You Go to Church?” I was shocked because, when God called me to the ministry of performing arts and theater, I had no idea what I was doing. The experience felt surreal, especially considering my educational background. I never imagined I could produce a stage play, but by the grace of God, my first audience exceeded 500 people.

What inspired me to write and produce stage plays was God bringing me out of a deep depression and a low point in my life. I was at a place where I wanted to quit, give up, and even contemplated suicide, but God intervened. I prayed that God would allow me to witness to others across the country who have experienced similar struggles, even if it meant using laughter to reach my brothers and sisters in Christ. I can truly say that the Lord answered my prayers.Since then, I’ve written and produced over 10 successful stage plays.

It all started at my godmother’s house, sitting in the dining room, where I shared my vision with an old counselor. She encouraged and motivated me to step out on faith, promising to do whatever it took to help me get started. Now, after 10 years of producing stage plays, I am the proud owner of Donnie Productions LLC. My goal is to keep pushing until I make it to Broadway . My cast consists of 14-16 incredibly talented and gifted individuals who know how to rock the stage. Through the creative arts, individuals can discover their full potential, build confidence, self-esteem, and public speaking skills, leading to a brighter future for our community.
